"Field Hone"

Well I have had this idea for  a while now, and had some time to make a couple of prototypes.
The handle is .375 diameter 6AL4V Titanium, while the business end is .250 diameter micro grain carbide.
I have been saving my broken carbide end mills for some time now figuring I'd could come up with some use for them, so that's where the micro grain carbide was sourced.
I surface ground a flat onto the carbide, and then with my carbidizer added a layer to the flat to give the surface some texture.
Okay, while can't re profile your blade with it.
If you're out camping, and dull up your Jared Ryan Price friction folder slicing Lemons to garnish Margaritas on a hunk of firewood for all your friends you can resharpen it with this little hone.
Hope you like em,

"A Few In Process Items"

Hey kids,
Check em out, I have a few in process items I thought you all might like to take a gander at.
1st. up are a couple of new Lanterns I've been working on.
These are made from 1" diameter Lucite, and encapsulate a Green 18mm sphere.
I still need to add a lanyard/split ring feature, and then polish em up.
They were done completely in the mill, no lathe.
The radius on the cap really magnifies the sphere.
I doubt they will become a regular item as the spheres are quite costly themselves.
A neat project none the less.

Next we have a few Ti Drives in process.
Still need to do the final fitting, polishing, anodize, and install the Self Lighting Gas Vials.
The good news is as soon as these are complete, I'll be going hog wild on the Pea Whistles.
There will be a large run of them, so there should be plenty to go around.
Enjoy the weekend, Kenn

I was looking through a box today, and came across this goody.
"The Glow Disk" while nothing spectacular, it a neat little bauble.
Made from Red Brass with Glow Epoxy added, this piece looks the same on the opposite side as well.
This is the only one kids;)
